- Product Information
These are 10 year old field-grown Felix Supreme peony clumps. Peonies are the quintessential heirloom plant often still blooming 50 years after they were originally planted. Unfortunately, the same characteristics that give them their longevity makes them very slow to establish from normal size divisions (on our farm we wait 4-5 yrs before we harvest the first blooms from a planting). To remedy this, we are offering this 10 year old undivided clump from our fields.
Size: 15-20 eyes
Suggested planting rate for peony flower bulbs: one root per 3 ft/sq.
Peony Felix Supreme Planting Location: Full sun - partial shade
Blooms: Early May
USDA zone: 3-8
Notes: These Felix Supreme peony clumps are prolific bloomers, producing 20 or more flowers per plant. Nothing compares to a peony - huge flowers, up to 6 inches across, on strong stems with lush green foliage. A cut flower without comparison, they are also beautiful in the border as a centerpiece. When planting in areas with partial shade, staking may be necessary for support once blooming begins.
