The Caladium Fancy Leaf "Candidum" is known for its white, heart-shaped leaves with subtle green veining. Thriving in partial to full shade, this plant grows about 18-24" tall. The "Candidum" must be planted when the ground temperature has reached 65 degrees. Not only does this plant have the impressive feature of being deer and rabbit resistant, it is practical in a sense of being reused. Once fall arrives, the tubers can be dug up and stored in a dry place and then replanted in the spring.
• Notes: Do not plant the Caladiums until soil temperature is 65 degrees or warmer and the danger of frost has passed. The Caladium can be started indoors in pots and then planted outside later. Lift immediately after first killing frost.
