      Due to its bold coloration, it's no wonder that the Caladium Fancy Leaf "John Peed" is associated with symbols of love, vitality, and strength. Resilient in nature, this plant is resistent to both deer and rabbit, making it great groundcover in areas with lots of wildlife. Growing to a height of 18-24", its heartshaped red leaves bring a vibrant touch to shaded areas. Blooming from early summer to first frost, it's best to plant the "John Peed" when the grounds have reached 65 degrees, making it a strong addition to any garden or container.
      • Notes: Do not plant the Caladiums until soil temperature is 65 degrees or warmer and the danger of frost has passed. The Caladium can be started indoors in pots and then planted outside later. Lift immediately after first killing frost.
