Foliage: Thick, leathery, maple-like leaves emerge light green but quickly turn a rich, dark purple-violet when exposed to full sun. In the fall, the foliage can turn a brilliant orange.
Flowers: Produces huge, saucer-shaped blooms (8–9 inches wide) from Mid Summer to Fall. It is an indeterminate bloomer, meaning buds develop all along the stems rather than just at the tips, leading to a long flowering season.
