      Perovskia atriplicifolia 'Blue Jean Baby' (commonly known as Russian Sage) is a compact, early-blooming perennial prized for its vigorous growth and resistance to "flopping," a common issue with taller Russian sage varieties. It features fragrant, silvery-green foliage and dense spikes of lavender-blue flowers that persist from midsummer into fall.
      Foliage: Features finely textured, aromatic gray-green or silver foliage that stays tidy in a dense mound.
      Resistance: Highly resistant to deer and rabbits due to its pungent scent, while remaining highly attractive to bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
      Maintenance: Pruning should be done in late winter or early spring; cut the stems back hard to about 6 inches above the ground to promote fresh, vigorous growth for the new season.
